Snakes of Hong Kong

Despite their unwarranted reputation, snakes are important to different ecosystems by maintaining balance in the food chain. Yet, due to increased conflict with humans, many snake species are under threat of extinction. In Hong Kong, there are over 40 (!) species of these special animals.
